Covas nv, a 50/50 joint venture with Life nv is finalising the development of U-Residence : a building on the Etterbeek Campus of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. It consists of 5 floors and groups the following functions : a small congress and reception infrastructure for the university, coupled with offices and research facilities related to sport and kine. Combined with this are 65 spacious student units, 31 short stay rooms for visiting academics and students and 48 underground parking spaces.
The works started in August 2012 and delivery was effected by mid September 2013: the accommodation became available for the academic year 2013/2014. The building has been sold to a Belgian institutional investor.
